Grieving the terrible and untimely death of Teagan Hernandez, a student killed in a deadly rollover accident late Sunday night in Winkler County, Texas, are the Wink-Loving Independent School District and the larger Wink community.

Five children under the age of 16 were reportedly involved in the collision on County Road 201, according to the Winkler County Sheriff's Office. Four of the children were ejected as the car rolled over, according authorities. At the scene, Teagan Hernandez was ruled dead; the other children were seriously hurt and taken for medical examination.

In a statement made on Monday, Wink-Loving ISD verified Teagan's identification and conveyed the sadness of the neighborhood.

The county stated, "Our hearts are heavy." "Following a terrible vehicle collision, we are mourning the loss of one of our students; several others are undergoing assessment for several wounds."

The district stated that counselors will be accessible on-site for staff and students to help those impacted and requested privacy and compassion for the families during this trying period.
