Tragic Domestic Shooting in Brandon Leaves Katherine Luz Evans and Anthony David Evans Dead

 Family, friends, and members of the Brandon community are mourning the tragic deaths of Katherine Luz Evans, 52, and Anthony David Evans, 62, following a domestic-related shooting on Thursday, June 18.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 5:40 p.m. to a home on Burlwood Street after reports of gunfire inside the residence. When they arrived, Katherine Evans was found dead at the scene from gunshot wounds. Anthony Evans was discovered critically injured and transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died despite medical efforts.

Authorities confirmed that Katherine and Anthony Evans were married and had lived in Brandon for many years. Investigators have identified Anthony Evans as the suspect in the incident, which is being treated as domestic-related. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under active investigation.

The tragedy has left relatives, friends, and neighbors in shock, as the couple was known in the community and had deep local ties. Loved ones are now mourning both individuals while struggling to process the sudden and devastating loss.
