Apart from his professional achievements in visual effects, Robinson was much appreciated for his larger-than-life character and great love of music and creativity. Many people are mostly remembering Robinson's years-long relationships and unyielding loyalty beyond his work. Reflecting on almost 30 years of friendship starting at the age of 19, Jenny May Harvey gave a sincere eulogy. She remembered supporting one another via moves, relationships, parenthood, and personal difficulties; dancing to fantastic songs; and negotiating life's peaks and lows.
She wrote, "We saw each other through so many seasons of each other's lives—the good, the hard, and the extremely, truly horrible moments." Supporting one another at times when we could hardly stand by ourselves.
Harvey expressed gratitude to Robinson for "every moment, every laugh, and every shared tear," noting that the planet would sorely miss his presence, talent, and passion for life—especially his affection of metal music. She wrote, "So I'll meet you again / Wherever you are / And I mean it when I say / I'll see you," quoting lyrics from Devin Townsend, an artist Robinson admired.
Friends say that his brash personality brightened every room, yet it was the silent, contemplative times—when he was just and genuinely himself—that exposed the depth of his character.
