The school remarked that Rylan passed away engaged in an activity he cherished, a feeling shared by friends, classmates, and faculty as tributes continue to emerge.
Rylan became part of Brisbane Grammar School as a boarder in 2022, starting in Year 9, and rapidly earned the respect and appreciation of the boarding community. Recognized for his friendly demeanor and approachability, he developed strong bonds with both fellow students and staff during his time there.
A dedicated football player, Rylan had a notable impact on the school's athletic programs. In 2025, he was a key member of the Premiership-winning First XI football team and also served as a Boarding Prefect that same year—positions that highlighted his leadership, dependability, and commitment to others.
