The community of Stafford County Public Schools and the family at G. Wright Middle School are grieving the untimely death of Bethany Augrom, who was a cherished teacher, wife, mother, and friend, and who passed away last evening.

Bethany was renowned for her commitment to teaching and her steadfast support for the students and families in her care. Colleagues at G. Wright Middle School remember her as a kind-hearted educator whose compassion, professionalism, and uplifting energy made a profound impact on everyone she encountered. Her classroom stood out as a nurturing environment where students felt encouraged, supported, and motivated to excel.

In addition to her classroom responsibilities, Bethany actively engaged with the larger community. She was a long-time parent involved with FAME Allstars Stafford, where her contributions and support resonated throughout the gym community. FAME Allstars Stafford communicated their deep sadness in a message, highlighting that the influence and presence of Bethany will always be cherished. As the community comes together to support her family, a Meal Train has been set up to assist the Augroms during this challenging period. Community members are encouraged to provide meals, gift cards, or financial donations, with meal deliveries requested on Mondays and Fridays.

Bethany was a loving partner to Pete Augrom, who previously worked as an educator in Stafford County Public Schools and as a warehouse staff member at Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. Together, they created a life focused on family, community involvement, and service. Bethany, who hailed from Wyoming, New York, brought with her an enduring sense of connection and care that she shared within every community she joined.

As the news of her passing becomes widespread, heartfelt tributes have flooded in from coworkers, parents, students, and friends who recall Bethany’s kindness, generosity, and commitment to those around her. Her absence is profoundly felt throughout Stafford County, where she has left a legacy of kindness, service, and significant positive influence.
