Abbotsford Shooting: Focused Attack Leads to Significant Law Enforcement Response in West Abbotsford

 Abbotsford — A significant number of police officers were seen in west Abbotsford on Friday, January 9, after a shooting that officials claim was intentional.



The event took place on Siskin Drive in the 3200 block, located just west of Blue Jay Street. Officers from the Abbotsford Police Department arrived at the location and established a secure perimeter as part of their ongoing investigation.

Authorities reported that the shooting does not seem to be connected to extortion and assured that there is no continuing threat to the community. As a safety measure, Siskin Drive was shut down between Sandpiper Drive and Stellar Court at around 2:30 p.m. while detectives examined the area.
