Polly Doan was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose life was centered on family, faith, and the relationships she built throughout the years. Her passing marks the end of a life filled with devotion to her loved ones and leaves behind countless memories that will be treasured by those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Everett Doan; her parents, Johnny Wagers and Elizabeth Mills Wagers; her sons, James Doan and George Doan; her siblings, Berthy Wagers, Nillie Lunsford, Bessie Wagers, Jane Wagers, Flossy Wagers, Lester Wagers, and Victor Wagers; and her grandchildren, Rocky Vaughn and Clarissa Doan.
Polly is survived by her loving children, Johnny Doan (Gail) of London, Kentucky, Frankie Doan (Mindy) of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, Angie Smith (Steven) of London, Kentucky, and Laura Vaughn of London, Kentucky. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Ellen Doan, and daughter-in-law, Rosie Doan.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. Those who knew Polly remember her as a caring and devoted woman whose love for her family remained constant throughout her life.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of her life. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at House-Rawlings Funeral Home in London, Kentucky. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
